February 2023 storm reports: hail, wind and tornadoes

In February 2023, 133 hail, 357 damaging-wind and 56 tornado reports were logged on 14 storm days across 23 states. The largest hail reported was 3.50″ (teacup size) in Washington County, OH on February 27, 2023. The most hail reports came on February 15, 2023 (55). Tornadoes killed 1. Radar estimated hail of 1 inch or larger on 23 days; the widest swath, on February 26, 2023, covered 637 square miles.
