In January 2022, 23 hail, 149 damaging-wind and 37 tornado reports were logged on 9 storm days across 16 states. The largest hail reported was 2.50″ (tennis ball size) in Monroe County, AL on January 9, 2022. The most hail reports came on January 9, 2022 (7).
