February 2024 storm reports: hail, wind and tornadoes

In February 2024, 338 hail, 322 damaging-wind and 45 tornado reports were logged on 20 storm days across 26 states. The largest hail reported was 4.00″ (grapefruit size) in Franklin County, AL on February 12, 2024. The most hail reports came on February 27, 2024 (101). Radar estimated hail of 1 inch or larger on 22 days; the widest swath, on February 11, 2024, covered 1,625 square miles.
