October 2020 storm reports: hail, wind and tornadoes

In October 2020, 68 hail, 405 damaging-wind and 20 tornado reports were logged on 14 storm days across 32 states. The largest hail reported was 2.75″ (baseball size) in Madison County, NE on October 11, 2020. The most hail reports came on October 23, 2020 (24). Radar estimated hail of 1 inch or larger on 23 days; the widest swath, on October 11, 2020, covered 244 square miles.
