January 2017 storm reports: hail, wind and tornadoes

In January 2017, 174 hail, 540 damaging-wind and 141 tornado reports were logged on 16 storm days across 14 states. The largest hail reported was 3.50″ (teacup size) in Catahoula Parish, LA on January 21, 2017. The most hail reports came on January 21, 2017 (76). Tornadoes killed 20.
