In January 2016, 85 hail, 119 damaging-wind and 17 tornado reports were logged on 19 storm days across 11 states. The largest hail reported was 3.00″ (teacup size) in Tehama County, CA on January 23, 2016. The most hail reports came on January 21, 2016 (44). Tornadoes killed 2.
